The Forest Hills Security Program provides information. By supporting the program you can fill out a form requesting that your home be checked by the Forest Hills Security Patrol in your absence.

Although the City of Dallas has a right of way easement in those areas, the landowner is responsible for maintaining those areas under City Code. A leaning or fallen tree, for example, is the owner’s responsibility. The homeowner is also responsible for their side of the alley, to the centerline of the alley.

Neighborhood-wide meetings are held twice a year, in Spring and Fall. The dates of the meetings are announced on the website, Forest Hills newsletters and by email blasts. In addition, as the date of a meeting draws near, signs are placed throughout the neighborhood announcing that a General Meeting will be held.
Newsletters come out quarterly, generally during the first week in January, April, July and October. Every home should receive one. If you didn’t receive yours, check with your block captain. They are responsible for delivering the newsletters on their block. A list of the block captains can be found at Block Captains.
City of Dallas

The City of Dallas picks up both regular and recycled trash on Monday of every week of the year, including holidays. Bulk trash pickup placed curbside is picked up during the week of the second Monday of every month. You can also visit the Dallas City website sanitation page.
The City of Dallas sets its own mowing schedule. On occasion, grass growth is faster that perhaps what the City anticipated and a 311 call from a resident to the City about the need usually results in appropriate action by the City. The Forest Hills Beautification Chair has contacts with the City and can usually get the City to take action. You can also contact 311 online.
