Ruth Parker

Meet Ruth Parker, “Ms. P” as her neighbors call her, our very own Forest Hills Centenarian!  Vernon (husband) saw a house for sale in Forest Hills. He loved this beautiful neighborhood with all its trees and bought that 3,600 sq ft house, which was one of first houses built here in the 20’s for $35,000! At the time this was a $50,000 neighborhood, but the place needed a lot of work as the previous family had 8 kids and several dogs. Interesting that the house and Ruth were both built in 1923!
